Cole Haan x New York City Ballet

Have you seen the new Cole Haan collaboration with the New York City Ballet? I love the little ribbon detail on the back of this pair. They would be so pretty with skinny black pants and a white blouse.

FALL ESSENTIAL // FLATS

It's back to work which means I am on my feet 24/7…or 10/5...same dif.

Here are some shoes that make flats more fun. I bought #1 a few weeks ago and they have quickly become my go-to. Highly recommend.

K. Jacques

I used to buy several pairs of sandals each summer. I always thought of them as a "one season" purchase. I would buy something cheap and after a summer of wear and tear they were finished. However, last year I bought my first pair of K. Jacques. I first heard about the brand in Nina Garcia's book The One Hundred and I was curious if they would live up the hype. They are definitely a bit pricer than regular sandals, but I'm happy to report that you get what you pay for. I absolutely lived in my silver pair last summer (above center) and I will probably add a neutral pair to the mix this year. If you're looking for a pair of high quality sandals I cannot recommend these enough. They run a bit small so make sure you size up a half size when ordering.

Have a fabulous weekend!

slip on sneaker round-up

one | two | three | four | five | six

I have to admit, at first I wasn't sure about the slip-on sneaker trend. I love my Chuck Taylors, but these new styles with their chunky sole felt like they were teetering on Spice Girls territory.

However, I've come around.

I particularly like them with a pair of polished pants or straight leg jeans and a classic shirt (think stripes or a button down). The perforated styles will be especially cute with shorts and skirts for summer.

Thoughts?

Are you for or against this trend?
