Sometimes, when I think I'm going crazy and have gone overboard with color or prints, I look to Miles Redd. His bold, beautiful designs make me feel like everything is right in the world. In this month's House Beautiful he said, "Every color combination there is, nature has done it before me. Truthfully, color makes me happy."

Preach Miles.

All white rooms are fine for someone else, but not for me. (See what I did there? I referenced my girl Amy's advice from yesterday). If you haven't gotten a chance to pick up the November issue of House Beautiful yet, hop to it! It also featured this bachelor pad and while I try not to regurgitate content from magazine's here, but both of these spaces deserve to be shared.

So, let's discuss...

Modern artwork looks amazing on top of more traditional wallpaper. And that green leather chair? It's from Ikea (custom covered of course).

In the bathroom he uses a more traditional color combination of black, white and red. While the foyer seamlessly blends purple, red and green with a graphic black and white floor. Can you imagine what trick-or-treaters must think?

Bold wallpaper camouflages the closet doors.

This lacquered green library is a jewel box. Every house that's big enough (I won't put this pressure on a studio apartment) should have a small room with bold colored walls.

I'm obsessed with the faux bois wallpaper in this family room. It adds texture without being heavy. On a scale of 1-10 how inviting is this couch? 12? 14? 25? It's the perfect place to curl up with a book, or to sit and admire your fabulous coffee table. Which, by the way, looks like a giant jewelry store display case.

One of the best parts about this apartment was that Miles had already decorated their previous home. When they decided to move he used most of the furniture in new ways. I would love to see the old place next to this one.
