Well, Michigan football is terrible.
At least we can dress like it's fall. Or if you're me, just dress like a head-to-toe J.Crew model.
Not so original, but wildly comfortable.
But guys, I have to tell you something.
I haven't been doing much shopping lately. Yes, this is a fashion-ish blog and so therefore you probably expect a lot of new-new-new. But that's not my thing. Since I got out of college I did a fairly good job of accumulating the things that I knew I wanted.
Classic boots? Check.
Perfect jeans? Check.
Dream bag? Check.
Basic button downs? Check.
And yes, sometimes I asked for them for Christmas. Sometimes for Valentine's Day...I certainly didn't buy it all myself (but let me tell you something, sometimes a man needs suggestions).
So now I'm done, right?
No need to shop?
Well, not quite.
But, as I approached this fall, I was pleasantly surprised to feel like I didn't need to buy much. I love my jeans, I have a solid collection of boots (rounded out nicely by my birthday gift) and I have more jackets than the coat room at The Plaza.
So, when J.Crew was having their 25% off sale this weekend, I wasn't that interested in anything. However, when my friend Julia and I stopped in Saturday, we were both shocked at how nice the new vests look in person. Yes, I blogged about them. And yes, of course I assumed they were fairly nice. However, when I saw it first-hand I was blown away. We both commented that it looks exactly like a Moncler.
So, I bought it.
Because sometimes in life, when you realize how great something is, you can't pass it up.
Even if you don't particularly "need" it.

Anyway. I have worn it two days in a row and received many a compliment.
I highly recommend it if you're in the market.
…or if you're not.
