If you follow me on Instagram, you know my Friday nights are full of wild and crazy plans...like stopping at Barnes and Noble before opening a bottle of white wine. I picked up these two books a few weeks ago and instantly devoured both. Here are my thoughts...
As I've mentioned in the past, I'm a sucker for any French-themed book. How to Be Parisian Wherever You Are is a quick read, but some of the advice turned me off. (I guess the fact that "bad habits" is in the title, would imply that some of the "advice" will be a bit off color). If you want to read a book about French women, I recommend picking up one of these instead. I'm going to grab Paris Street Style: A Guide to Effortless Chic next.
Now, for a book I highly endorse, Not That Kind of Girl. I didn't think it was possible to like Lena Dunham any more, but the girl just keeps putting it out there. She's a great writer, and so honest that you'll walk away from the book feeling like you really know her. I could go on and on, but here's a great interview that does a better job.
Have you read anything good lately? Two different people recommended this book to me this week.
Also, I don't claim to know much about wine, but Riondo's Pinot Grigio is one of my favorites (and less than $13 a bottle).
