Sometimes it feels like we have seen all the internet eye candy there is to see right? The same designers and the same project pinned over and over. And then. All of the sudden. Ta-da! We discover something new and fabulous.
That's what happened to me last week when one of my friends turned me on to the interior designer Anna Burke. After working for Celerie Kemble for several years, Anna has opened her own firm and her style is nothing short of delightful.
As we scrolled through her portfolio I had an ah-ha moment. Ok maybe this wasn't all BRAND new. I realized that it was her gorgeous Palm Beach project that I had admired in last month's Domino. (The whole conversation came up in fact because I was considering buying the CB2 bookshelves she used in the living room).
And perhaps you saw her house tour a few years back in Lonny? (I had not, and have since become completely obsessed). Colorful and feminine with a bit of a bohemian edge.
And because this does matter, I hear she is also incredibly nice and friendly.
Some eye candy...
I love the surprise of the vintage floral wallpaper she used in her own apartment. Especially paired with a bold striped rug and fur throws. The photo in the first picture (above the mantle) is from a street vendor. Girl after my own heart. I would love to know where to find that seller!
Juju hats for the win.
Sconces are a decorators best friend in small apartments. And who doesn't love a gorgeous upholstered headboard? Looks like these might be two twins making up a king size bed.
A touch of luxury with D. Porthault linens.
Her palm beach bachelor pad is modern blue and white perfected.
