I have admired Barbour jackets for a long time. I've blogged about them, bought them as gifts, and tried on almost every single style. However, I had never bought one for myself. As much as I like them, I never had that I-have-to-have-this-true-love-feeling that should come along with such an expensive purchase.
…until last month.
I was in the Barbour store trying on a few other other jackets when I saw the Shore. Now, I have the Barbour inventory pretty well-memorized, but this coat was new to me. When I tried it on, it was like the Sisterhood of the Traveling Coat….I had that I-can't-live-without-this feeling.
But of course, it is just a coat.
And I can live without it.
So I decided to wait.
I went home, thought about it for a few days, and finally decided to pull the trigger. I have worn it almost every single day since (partially due to the unusually cold weather we have been experiencing). I absolutely love the length (a little shorter than the Beadnell), the big pockets and the hood. It also has a cute little patch on the shoulder and a pretty red interior.
It's more than I would normally spend on a coat, but I know I will wear it for years to come.
