Thanks to my closet clean out, I can now see and wear my favorite pieces. This outfit features some of the items in my wardrobe that continually get the most play, so I thought today I could tell you why.

I absolutely LOVE this Madewell chambray shirt. Let me just say if I could only have one shirt this would be it. It's comfortable, versatile and flattering. This winter I have worn it with black pants, cargos, camo, sequins and dark jeans. It will also transition perfectly to summer where I will pair it with brightly colored shorts and skirts. I'm seriously considering picking up two more versions and turning into a chambray-only girl.

I recently purchased these sunglasses from Tory Burch after falling in love with them a few months back. I have a pretty small face so sunglasses tend to have the dreaded "bug" effect on me, but these are comfortable and cute without being humongous. And, because I have a family history of blindness (on both sides) I have been trying to be really good about wearing sunglasses all the time. A nice new tortoise shell pair makes that a lot easier.

These shoes (which are on major sale right now) are my go-to flats. They go with everything (even navy) and are like wearing slippers.

Lastly, let's talk about these cargo pants. While fitted, they are actually one of the most comfortable pair of skinny pants I own. I love that the ankle unzips so you can get them on without a struggle (you know you've been there) and the cargo pockets are universally flattering. Trust me. They look good on everyone. They are like the sisterhood of the traveling pants. Even if you don't have super skinny legs, the pockets actually camouflage things making you look long and lean. They're on sale right now at Anthropologie so I would really encourage you to try them out if you're curious!
