If you follow me on Instagram (@xo_smash) you know what my week looked like.

However, since the temperatures are no longer unbearable, it feels good to get some fresh air. It's also cute to see the impressive snow structures kids have built. This week I saw a gigantic dinosaur as well as several snowmen sitting on the benches.

Don't forget, today is the last day to enter the Mitten State Giveaway! I have been living in their cozy t-shirt and sweatshirts all week, and I would love for you to win one! Go enter now!

I've never been a big exercise person, but last week I tried my first class at New York's SLT. Their motto is, "If cardio, strength training and pilates had a baby…it would be SLT." The workout is hard, and it's not cheap, but it is wildly effective. It's much more so than the few personal training sessions I have taken at gyms. Want another opinion? The New York Times featured it here.

This week I downloaded the Waterlogue app for iPhone. It turns all of your pictures into beautiful watercolors. I'm planning on having some printed out and framed. It's well worth the $2.99 price tag.

On my snowy walks I have been listening to The Moth podcasts. It's like listening to stories at a dinner party.

Why The Moth?

George Dawes Green who founded The Moth used to tell stories on the porch at night with his friends in Georgia. The moths were attracted to the porch light, and they started calling themselves The Moths, and when he moved to New York he wanted to carry on the tradition. I'm dying to go see a show in-person (they're all around the country now).

Last, but not least, my email has finally stopped giving me anxiety thanks to Unroll.Me! It tracks down all of your email subscriptions and either unsubscribes for you, or rolls them all up into one daily message. Then, when it finds new subscriptions over time it alerts you and gives you the same options. Brilliant! Now I just have to get used to the fact that I'm not seeing 85 new messages in my email every day.
