The best part about show houses is that they really showcase a designer's true style (aka, what they would do with an unlimited budget and no client restraints). My favorite discovery this year was Patrick J. Hamilton, who lucky for me, was actually in his room during my visit! I was beside myself getting the chance to talk to him about his design process, and how why he selected each item. Lucky for you, he also wrote about his process over on his design blog, so rather than try and summarize it all for you here, I'll just send you over there.
Head on over to his blog to check out his amazing designs. I especially love the bold orange room he created for the Housing Works Design on a Dime event.
