Today is our last day of the Essential 20 series. I hope you guys found it valuable (I would love to hear your feedback). Today we are discussing the black pant, the wide leg, the motorcycle boot and the riding boot.
Classic, slimming and perfect for the office, the black pant is a pretty obvious choice. I like it cropped just above the ankle, that way you can wear it with skinny jeans or heels. My absolute favorite cotton pair is from the Gap. And while I have been nervous to jump on the leather pant trend, I have heard great things about these Express (faux) leggings. I'm interested to try them for a night out.
I love a retro flare or wide leg jean. They perfectly balance out your hips and look great with a high bootie and a classic blazer.
The motorcycle boot gives any outfit the instant cool factor. I lived in these short Frye brown boots last summer, and a perfect pair of black boots is in my wish list for fall. Of course I adore these Jimmy Choo babies, but I also love the wrap detail (and the price) on this pair from Steve Madden.
If I'm not wearing a short boot, I'm in these. The riding boot is the perfect (ultra classic) choice for fall. You can absolutely get the look for less (Target has a nice selection) but this is an item that you should 100% invest in. I absolutely adore every Frye boot I have. Their quality, craftsmen ship and cut are worth every cent. I have worn mine for years and get them resoled whenever they look a little run down. These are boots I fully intend to have for at least another 20 years.
