Oh fall, there is nothing I love more than crisp weather and a plaid shirt. This J.Crew tartan is one of my absolute favorites, and while they don't sell it anymore, you can get a similar one out there.
Last Friday I wore my plaid shirt with a navy skirt and leopard loafers to work. Jenna Lyon's and I both consider leopard to be a neutral so the mix and match of patterns was a natural choice. Then, after work I had about 15 minutes to get ready for my birthday dinner (woo!) so I had to make a quick change. I swapped out the navy skirt for an edgier faux-leather version and threw on some opaque tights and black booties (a favorite combination for super long legs). This time I opted for a pop of leopard in a clutch.
A quick note about these booties, my friend Rose invited me to the Ecco Sculptured 75 launch party last Thursday and they gave me a pair of these shoes. Now, I have actually worn Ecco golf shoes for years and I have always said those were the most comfortable shoes I owned. I had high hopes for these booties and I am happy to report they did not disappoint. They are almost cushy on the inside, yet sturdy enough to navigate the cobblestone streets of the West Village. I highly recommend you check out their new line. I particularly love this style.
