Ashley Whittaker Design

Have you guys seen this month's House Beautiful? It is one of my personal favorites. First off, it's the small spaces issue, which anyone who lives in New York City knows is a must-read, but most importantly, it features the most gorgeous apartment designed by Ashley Whittaker

How great is the Parsons desk below that doubles as a dining buffet and dinner table during parties? I love the mirrored finish. And the bench? Stop it right now. It is so adorable and lady-like. I can absolutely see it transitioning to a bedroom or entryway when the client moves.

If you remember the late, great Domino magazine (moment of silence) article featuring Ashley, you will recognize the zebra print wallpaper from her entryway.

Domino Magazine Zebra wallpaper, Rose Cumming Zebrine

The print is Rose Cumming Zebrine and Ashley went on to use it in the kitchen in this project, only proving the versatility of the print and the power of wallpaper.

And while I love the zebra, I absolutely DIE for the wallpaper she used in the entryway for this project. Let's look at it again.

Perfection. It's Osborne & Little Maharani and you can be sure it will be coming home with me in the future.

In the bedroom Ashley used Ikea side tables to help keep costs down, while splurging on D. Porthault linens and a Christopher Spitzmiller lamp. Love the practicality.

You can check out more of Ashley's work here and be sure to pick up this month's issue of House Beautiful for more inspiration and small space ideas.
