new year's resolutions: get organized

This week is all about New Year's Resolutions. To start us off: the I-will-not-lose-my-keys/wallet/phone-again-this-year set.

As an admittedly type-B personality, I am continually looking for ways to improve my organization. Some work, and some last until, well, I lose them. However, for today, here are a few of my tried and true suggestions to help you achieve your organizational goals in 2013.

{slim hangers} Have you done this yet? It makes a WORLD of a difference. They do go on sale, so you can watch for that, but seriously, just do it.

{a cute coin purse} So you can save your change for something fun, and you're not fumbling around when the cashier asks if you have a penny.

{moleskine accordion notebooks} I use these to hold receipts, gift cards & coupons. That way you know where they are and you can always find them.

{mini emergency kit} For the wardrobe malfunctions on-the-go

{planner} THE. WORLD'S. BEST. PLANNER. I tried to switch to a smaller version last year, and it just wasn't the same. I'm back to the old standard this year, and I highly recommend you do the same.

{a travel umbrella} Since I always seem to get caught in the rain, I'm vowing to carry a small umbrella in my purse this year. Shoes saved. Hair saved. Sanity saved.

{MZ Wallace Kate Bag} As I mentioned here, it is perfect for travel, the gym, or work. It looks polished and keeps you organized. Win, win.

{get it done notepad} So, you know, you get it done.

{West Elm Jewelry Tree} If you can't see it, you won't wear it. Simple as that.
