Read this book over vacation and could not put it down. Amy Odell is smart, funny and a fabulous storyteller. Her outside-inside take on fashion is a must read for any aspiring fashionista (or writer). If you love New York Mag, you’ll love this book (picture from @megan hess_official).
I’ve been keeping track of my life in Anthropologie’s idiom notebook. I got the silver one for Christmas (thanks mom!). Love how it zips shut, lays flat and feels nice and fancy.
We started giving mandalas (traditional indian geometric designs) to my students a few years ago to help them “find their calm.” Turns out it works for grown ups too. Coloring books are all the rage right now. My friend had this book at his house the other day and it took all of my self control not to steal it and retreat to a corner like a true introvert. I’m going to order my own as soon as I finish the stocking (one project at a time!).
I binge ordered coffee table books a few months back and have been slowly making my way through them. Love the paired down style of Lauren Leiss.
Last Wednesday one of my good friends sent out an email of inspirational quotes to get through hump day. Screenshotted one of my favorites.
After eating all of the sugar in America, I’m committing to healthier foods this week. Say what you want about Gwyneth but her January detox always makes me feel like cleaning up ( but also still so confused...how does anyone give up caffeine?).
I’m always on the lookout for new Podcasts. I heard Michael Ian Black on NPR and immediately fell in love with his show How to Be Amazing. I mean, don’t you want to know?
I snagged this light fixture at a flea market a few months ago. We finally got it fixed and installed and Mike declared, “No more vintage lights!” (let’s just say it wasn’t an easy process) but I love it. So, you know, the vintage light shopping will continue.
Happy Monday my friends!
