I don't want to brag, but my product game is really on point right now. I used to be really cheap about beauty products. It just washes down the drain right? Well, I've changed my tune (a little). I've upgraded a few items and I'm here to say that some things (aka these three things) are worth the extra dollars.
I sampled this when we stayed at the 21C a few weeks ago and I'm officially a convert. Mostly because it smells amazing. But, it also makes my hair feel really shiny and healthy. It's way more than I've ever spent on any sort of shampoo or conditioner, but as soon as my current product runs out I'm going to treat myself (and probably cut down shampooing to twice a week. kidding. kind of).
My new life motto? Fancy hand soaps are the best. They instantly make a ho-hum bathroom feel luxurious. Don't you agree? I had coveted this soap for years (literally, I know I'm a freak) and so I finally splurged and bought it before hosting my friend's bachelorette party (I justified it by pink label). It's the best $20 I've ever spent. It also smells amazing and makes me happy every time I was my hands.
If you're only going to splurge on one thing, this is it. I had a mini-meltdown this spring when I realized that "Oops! My skin isn't 17 anymore," (hello acne + wrinkles combo). I went to my dermatologist who gave me a prescription and two magical moisturizer recommendations. For day, she swears by La Roche-Posay's 60 SPF Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid. Her selling point? (Besides the whole, you don't want to get skin cancer and wrinkles thing). It has a matte finish. My selling point? It's truly non-greasy and won't clog your pores. It's also really runny (thats the best adjective I could come up with ) so even though the bottle is small, a little bit goes a long way. The $20 price tag is easily one of the best investments you can make for your skin. At night she recommended using Aveeno's Eczema Therapy and I'm seconding that as well (I'm basically a dermatologist). It's super thick and I swear my skin looks much better in the mornings after using it. Plus, it's a bargain (see I haven't totally converted).
Do you have any beauty products you swear by? On a side note, all of my cosmetics were stolen out of my luggage after my brother's wedding (awesome!) so I'm open to suggestions as I restock.
