….and I'm back! My apologies for the lack of posting. Travel + work + two huge projects consumed my life over the last ten days. However, there is some good news! While I was slaving away over the drafting board, I was able to watch hours and hours of Netflix documentaries and I have some serious recommendations for you.
My favorite? The Netflix series Chef's Table. Each episode features a different chef from around the world. Not into cooking? It won't matter. Each episode was fascinating. Michelin star restaurants were never on my bucket list, but they are now. I particularly loved the episode on Blue Hill's chef Dan Barber. My love of Stone Barns (and Blue Hill at Stone Barns) is well documented and this series was another riveting look at the incredible work Barber and his colleagues are doing to help revolutionize and improve the farming and food industry. Farm to table doesn't even do it justice.
Why do we need to revolutionize food? Watch Fed Up (another weekend viewing) and call me. A frightening and heartbreaking look at how dysfunctional our food industry has become, and an important reminder of how imperative it is to educate children (and adults) about nutrition. FYI to politicians everywhere, pizza is not a vegetable.
