I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Before college, I had never once plucked my eyebrows. My mom had always warned me about the dangers of over-plucking "They'll never grow back!" she said...so the power of a good brow shaping was unknown to me. Thankfully, my best friend took things into her own hands and became my Sunday night brow sculptor. We would watch Desperate Housewives in our pajamas, and she would tweeze my eyebrows until I no longer embarrassed her in public.
However, when college ended and we didn't live in the same city, I was left to my own devices. So now I'm going to tell you my best kept beauty secret. Actually, my best kept beauty person.
Raquel C. at the Benefit Brow Bar on Lexington. I met her a few years ago, and she has since become my go-to for all things beauty. She even does my mom's brows when she visits (the same woman that shunned tweezing for decades). Raquel did all of the make-up for my wedding and she's my go-to person for a quick beauty pick me up. She is the nicest, most down-to-earth person on the planet, and she will never steer you wrong.
