In other national news, I chopped off my hair. If we're Instagram friends (and I hope we are) you may have already known. However, since the great debate started here, I felt like it was only fair to come full circle.
The final cut was a bit impulsive. I trimmed off a few inches in December, but decided not to go full-lob. I was thinking I would wait until spring and try and donate it. Then, I was offered the opportunity to be a hair model for a friend of a friend who is training at one of those fancy NYC salons. I figured a fancy was salon was the perfect opportunity to go short. I found out about the appointment Sunday, and chopped it Monday.
At first I wanted some layers, as we discussed in this post, but the head hair dresser suggested going straight across. "We're going to make you very British." He said.
I like British people.
I felt bad for my hairdresser because straight across is definitely challenging. However, she did an amazing job. I'm really into it and so far no major regrets.
Today, I'm going to try curls. Will report back from the front lines.
