I have had acne since the seventh grade. It was never cystic, just persistent. I can count the number of pimple-free days I've had in the last 15 years on two hands.
This mini-curse has made me a slave to the word "non-comedogenic" (physician speak for "won't clog pores"). It has also made me incredibly afraid to try new products. Most of my purchases come from the drug store and I feel nothing but anxiety when I walk into Sephora. When the people at Eu2Be, a natural skin care line, sent me some samples to try I let them sit on my counter for several days, like small bombs that might explode at any moment. I finally emailed the poor girl at the company and asked her if they were "non-comedogenic." Of course they were not. Most small companies don't undergo the testing it takes to call products non-comedogenic, and this was no different. However, Eu2Be's products are 100% natural and over the last year I have become more curious about natural beauty products. I eat pretty healthily but my medicine cabinet is another story. The idea behind Eu2Be is simple, what we put on our bodies is as important as what we put in our bodies. Just like junk food is bad for our body, "junk ingredients" are bad for our skin.
With this in mind, I decided to try them out. What was the worst that could happen? I've been using the face lotion for the last few weeks and I see the difference. Dare I say it looks dewier? And while I'm still experiencing my normal pimples here and there, they're not that bad. It's certainly not any worse than when I was using "non-comedogenic" products from bigger companies. I'm still to scared to put the oil on my face (baby steps) but I've been using it on my legs after shaving. Perfect now that the heat is cranked up in my apartment.
If you're looking for a healthy, natural product I highly recommend checking out Eu2Be. Their products are simple (no crazy scents) and their prices are really reasonable, especially when you compare them to similar companies. Have any of you tried natural skin care products? Do you have any you love?
Eu2Be sent me free travel sized samples of their nature + nourish lotion, shower + soak soap and enrich + radiate oil. No other compensation was provided and all opinions (and neuroses) are my own.
